It's More Than a Meal Application - Completing the Free and Reduced Lunch Application helps in many areas beyond just free or reduced price meals. Just one form ensures continued funding to support all students in Pickens County School District.
Please fill out a new application every year at https://www.pickens.k12.ga.us/o/pcs/page/free-reduced-meals.

As Viticulture continues to be one of the fastest growing areas of agriculture in North Georgia, the Basic Ag class at Pickens Junior High had the opportunity to learn hands on skills from the owner of Lakeside Valley Vineyards, Susan Anthony. From her visit to Napa valley, to her ground breaking in Pickens county, she shared her journey with the students that led her to where she is now. The students were able to inspect and transplant seedlings and in the spring plan to visit the vineyard to see the full process

Please see the image below for a detailed image regarding morning drop off procedures. Thank you for your patience as we settle into the new school year!

Mr. Shostak's class is playing a classic game to learn about latitude and longitude. What fun!

What an amazing week at PJHS! Our Ag class is sharing their tomatoes with staff members and learning lots along the way :)

PJHS parents, students and families: Student schedules will be corrected by Monday. We are diligently working on balancing classes and placing students in the correct courses. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Your kiddos have been awesome and taken this in stride. They have enjoyed seeing their friends and teachers; we look forward to a fresh start on Monday :)

Day 1 and I cannot brag on our new PJHS 7th grade class enough! Everyone has been impressed with how kind, polite, respectful, and well-mannered this group of students has been. They have laughed, participated in class, followed instructions, and done so without the typical "teenage attitude". THANK YOU parents for sending us such a great group, and THANK YOU students for representing yourselves so well. #PJPRIDE
