Congratulations to Harmony Elementary's Jennie Quinton for being November's Maintenance and Custodial Dragon Award winner!

PCSD's extracurricular spotlight for this month is Jasper Middle School's Yearbook/Photography club! This year, JMS has fifteen fifth and sixth grade students who are meeting after school, twice a month, to learn about photography and take pictures for the yearbook. The students have been issued school cameras to use throughout each week to capture life here at JMS.

November 13th is World Kindness Day and PCSD believes in the power of kindness to transform lives, create stronger communities, and build a brighter future for our children.
That's why we're excited to invite our families, and community to be part of our incredible journey towards growing kindness throughout our district, community, and beyond. We are kicking off our 30-day initiative today, on November 13th, for World Kindness Day and we are inviting you to grow kindness along with us and to share those acts of kindness so that we can build a more compassionate world.
Visit our Growing Kindness webpages (https://www.pickens.k12.ga.us/page/pcsd-growing-kindness) to learn about how you can join us to help create stronger connections and to be part of something bigger that inspires everyone to build a more compassionate world.

We are kicking off our PCSD Growing Kindness initiative today with Colton Wooten from Hill City Elementary School. Colton is the best big brother he can be. He takes care of his little sister by walking her into her pre-school every day. As a kindergarten student at Hill City Elementary, he is already a shining example of #PCSDgrowingkindness.
