Good morning, Tate Bulldogs! Mrs. Bradley here. I need your help!! Did you know that the hunger statistics in America are staggering? Nearly 50 million Americans—including 13 million children your age—live in households that struggle with hunger. A filling dinner, a healthy lunch, and a good breakfast to start the day—these should be available for all kids, but unfortunately, they’re not. Every city, community, and school is affected in some way, making hunger one of the biggest challenges in the country.
But you can help! Earlier, we participated in the National Kindness Challenge with the other schools in our district and across the nation. Our next act of Bulldog kindness is the snack drive for the community partners' pantry. If you can bring in snacks to help fill our Tater Sacks, you can help feed the hungry families in our community. That is a huge act of kindness!
So, starting Monday, April 7th, through Friday, April 25th, we will be collecting these foods. You can bring in Poptarts, Crackers, Cookies, Applesauce, Jello, Fruit and Granola bars, and individual cereal. You will bring in your items to your classroom and count them out. Then your teacher will put the number on the spreadsheet I sent them, and then you will take your items to the lunch room where there will be boxes for each grade level. And guess what else?? Whichever grade level collects the most items will enjoy a popsicle party for your acts of kindness!! We will make announcements every few days to let you know how many cans we have. The class with the most items donated will win the coveted trophy🏆. You have three weeks to collect items! Now, let’s all be kind to each other and our community!
Thank you!!

Good Morning Tate Families,
