Pickens Junior High School welcomes our new principal, Kanyon Petti.
As a Jasper native and product of the Pickens County School System, Mrs. Petti always knew she wanted to teach in the community that helped shape her into the person she is today. Her career began when she accepted a position as a high school ELA teacher. At Pickens High School, she had the pleasure of coaching the cheer team for six years. As an administrator, she served two years as an assistant principal at Pickens Junior High School, one year as the principal at Harmony Elementary School, and will be serving as the principal of Pickens Junior High for the 2024-25 school year. She is married to her husband, Vince, and they have three children: Amanda, Damian, and Brayly. Her hobbies include fishing, gardening, and beekeeping.
