Karina Haney has been coaching volleyball for eight years at PHS and has been the head coach for six years. In 2021, she led the Dragonettes to their first Elite Eight appearance. Coach Haney is currently the PE teacher at Tate Elementary School. She is a PHS alumni where she played volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
Volleyball
Pickens Volleyball began in 2001. Since that time they have had three state appearances. Pickens Varsity will compete in Area 6-AAA for the 2024-2026 school years. Along with a varsity team, Pickens also has a Junior Varsity and Junior High team serving 7th-12th graders.
